Yeah, Go ahead and do it!

Yeah, Go ahead and do it!

I know you’re saying how does she know that I’m second guessing wearing that outfit, wearing that lipstick, cutting my hair, or starting that business?  ugh!

Well hey, I used to be that same person. I was afraid of what others thought of me, and their opinion of me superseded how God felt about me. As to of how I felt about myself.

My self-esteem was very low due to several factors in my adolescence. In fact, my self-esteem was so low that I decided to live vicariously through one of my friends because I thought her life was well put. At least, that’s what it seemed because her hair was always done, she wore nice shoes, she was pretty and popular. Her voice is magical, so I would try to mimic the way she even sang, lol right. Just down right awful huh?

My focus was always on her because I had to fit in and stay abreast of her lifestyle. I couldn’t falter because I had to and wanted to remain in the status of who’s who!! But! One day, I heard a soft whisper from God our father. He spoke, “If you be the girl that I designed you to be, then I will bless you beyond measure!” I was 22 years old and had just started my own business with nothing else to lose. I was like what the heck, why not give him a try…

Fast forward, today I am living my truth, my life, and I’m loving it. Why? Because I’m walking in his light without a jealous or envious bone in my body because those traits had me doing things that was unnecessary for my journey.

I am Lakina “Magic” Ingram, and I’m walking in victory while owning who I am in my own lane. So go ahead and do it and keep doing YOU!!!!
